Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Final Episode: Well, that was random…

[Vivid] Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi - 12 [E39E531C].mkv_snapshot_23.18_[2013.09.23_07.28.30]
Yup…I’m asking the same thing…
Sigh…what a dramatic ending. Tears were flowing, hugs everywhere, emotions heard. Then Ai has to go and save Alis…basically invalidating all of that. Honestly, why can’t people just leave things? Why does it have to be a perfect ending? I know a lot of people are suckers for those, but I think that the perfect ending is its own antithesis.

Honestly, I was interested by this show at the start…it really pulled me in. It seemed like it would go into the implications of a world where death had a completely different meaning. But then it devolved into simple wish-granting and saving everyone and I lost interest. Sigh…oh well…could have been worse, right?

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Episode 11: Quite the dilemma, Ai

[Vivid] Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi - 11 [84872145].mkv_snapshot_16.36_[2013.09.17_06.22.22]

Yeah…it was Dee keeping them all there after all. I wonder…if Ai destroys the world, will she continue living on as a ghost or was that just because the existence of the Class 3-4 World was tethering her? Either way, will Alis find this out and how will he react?

Anyway, now Ai has to find some way to save Dee while helping Alis. She’s gonna “save the world”, so she’s got to make everyone happy, right? Well, I don’t exactly have my hopes up. More than likely, it’ll be simple like Tanya…she doesn’t really do much and she’s just magically convinced. Or Alis does something. I’d personally prefer a “Dee yandere killing spree” ending, but that’s unlikely. Her heart was basically broken by Alis just now…so…maybe…

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Episode 10: Alis’s Killing Spree

Alright, I guess it’s time to destroy a perfect world to save Class 3-4. Looks like Ai has her work cut out for her. Alis seems to have tried everything. Also, Scar and Yuri are acting like newlyweds, but that’s just an aside. Anyway, it looks like the true last boss is actually Dee. It looks like she’s actually dead, explaining her incorporeal form in the outside world.

She would probably want this world to keep existing, then, because she could maintain a physical form (and hug Ai…because puni puni?). Based on how much time is left, it looks like this is the final arc of the show…meaning that there will probably be no sense of resolution in the ending. That makes me sad…

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Episode 9: Happy Birthday?

[Vivid] Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi - 09 [B3680A0B].mkv_snapshot_08.01_[2013.09.03_06.25.49]

Well, Scar was brought back pretty easily. I was expecting a bit more than that…but whatever. Looks like Alis decided to travel with everyone as well. He’ll be an interesting addition, I think. Anyway, we got to see how gravekeepers are born…more importantly, that gravekeepers are still being born (so I guess more can die in Ortus or something).

Next week, looks like we’ll get more into Alis’s past as they try to save another town. We might actually see more of Dee’s past too…and I guess she’ll be returning to the crew as well. This is so much fun, isn’t it? Sigh…

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Episode 8: Save all the things?

[Vivid] Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi - 08 [75F669F0].mkv_snapshot_19.22_[2013.08.25_13.47.54]

So they all escaped and Tanya was saved…yeah yeah. Pretty much what you would expect. Are they all going to travel together now or is it just going to be Mr. Sharpshooter? And Yuri with that timing…where’s he been all this time? Apparently he got the baby, but not Scar somehow…not sure how that happened.

So it’s time to save Scar next week? Wonder what she got herself into. I guess we’re supposed to learn more about gravekeepers now. At any rate…Mr. Sharpshooter here seems to know a lot more than he lets on…what is he telling Ai next week?

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Episode 7: School is a great place, huh?

[Vivid] Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi - 07 [4D3E8908].mkv_snapshot_08.54_[2013.08.20_06.13.37]

Ai’s been kidnapped…oh, right…nothing to be worried about. Kind of a weird school…they all have “powers”, but they’re not exactly impressive. Multiple personalities isn’t a mystical phenomenon, nor is being able to “see” with sound. I’m starting to wonder if these powers are real in the first place.

Anyway, I guess Ai and Alis are preparing to make their daring escape from this school with the ghost who pulls the strings in the background (not suspicious at all). Preview doesn’t show all too much…wonder what they’re planning. Wonder how useful Ai will make herself. Her power is practically useless here as far as I can tell.

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Episode 6: Wait…wasn’t it supposed to be a false pregnancy?

[Vivid] Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi - 06 [855C6813].mkv_snapshot_01.39_[2013.08.11_13.36.21]

Okay…so Scar became some girl’s mother…it’s only weird if we make it weird, right? Well, at least we’re done with Ortus. On to the next place. It’s slightly refreshing to know that Ulla is completely oblivious…but I guess her role is done.

I guess the direction of the show is something like Tsubasa? They just visit different places (or worlds in Tsubasa’s case), then meet people, form relationships, solve problems, then just leave them behind and head to the next place? I don’t really foresee Ulla and Kiriko reappearing…that’s just me. Anyway, next week back to school? They’re a little late on that, aren’t they?

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Episode 5: Yes…kill them all and they’ll be like us

[Vivid] Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi - 05 [42E945F7].mkv_snapshot_04.44_[2013.08.05_06.35.22]

More adventures in the land of the dead. Ai turns out not to be completely useless…since she can actually tell that Ulla is alive. Maybe she’s really part gravekeeper after all. Ulla seems to be the typical trapped goddess…worshiped for her powers, but not really wanting the attention or something.

I find no other reason for a living human to be playing princess to a city of dead. Anyway, was the ritual at the very end that Ulla was performing some sort of mass genocide for the living people entering the city? If so, was this her will or is she really being forced to do all of this? This looks like a job for…*drumroll* Ai Astin!

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Episode 4: Is this a field trip?

[FLag]_Kamisama_no_Inai_Nichiyoubi_-_04_[720p][270D21A0].mkv_snapshot_12.29_[2013.07.28_11.32.37]

Wow…Ai really fails as a gravekeeper, huh? You’d think she’d at least be able to hear some whispers or have some sense of death like Scar…she seems basically human. Anyway, new character Kiriko shows up…is he actually dead? Scar didn’t react until they reached the town…she seems blunt enough to point it out immediately if he had been…

And is the masked guy also a character? There’s a guy in the ending with a sorta similar hairstyle…I didn’t look all too close, but maybe? Anyway, next week it looks like Ai will meet this chained princess of death…nothing weird about that at all.

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi Episode 3: So what happens now?

[Vivid] Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi - 03 [F893DC7B].mkv_snapshot_06.51_[2013.07.21_08.57.32]

So Hampnie turned out to be Ai’s real father after all. But man…he died in three episodes? Thought he’d last longer than that. He seemed like such a decent character. I mean, he got pretty cheesy close to end, but I thought he did okay. I’m actually kinda surprised he didn’t know about his daughter…figured he was just feigning ignorance.

Either way, the preview seems to show Ai by herself, so does she split with Yuri and Scar? I’m wondering where the story goes from here. Maybe small arcs with Ai using her half-gravekeeper powers? I guess she just travels around from now on?
