Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Final Episode

Well, turning Maou back was pretty easy…took Yuusha like 3 minutes. Could this really be called a resolution? I guess the war didn’t happen, but all of the stuff in this final episode seemed more to be like hints at or preparation for something more. Especially with the church’s scheming and whatnot. If I didn’t know this was the final episode, I’d probably find it hard to tell.

Based on what I’ve seen, I can only assume there’s more to come. This series makes me wonder if maybe too much stuff was going on. I felt like it was hard to keep track of all the characters and what they were doing. To be fair, I wasn’t paying full attention, but still…I dunno. Was it enjoyable? I wouldn’t go so far. Did I hate it? I wouldn’t say that either. I dunno…just okay?

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Episode 11

So…eleven episodes later, we’re actually going to get the fight that was supposed to occur in episode one? Sure took them a while. This Yuusha is pretty nuts…must have spent way too much time grinding levels before he went to fight Maou. The guy’s gotta be level 100 by now. He’s way too strong.

So next week is the final episode. It seems pretty obvious from the short preview that Maou will be snapped out of her current state…that being said, maybe a little too obvious. Is it a trick? Either way, the war also seems to be dwindling away with the eyepatch guy so close to being beaten as well. Looks like he has a final trick up his sleeve, though.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Episode 10

It’s time for revolution! Freedom to the masses! I guess things are getting heated up with the prospects of war. I wonder how Maou will react when she learns of this impending fight within humanity. I guess this is to show what happens to humans when they lose the common enemy of the demons.

Also, it looks like merchant dude may be trying to go after the dragon girl after his attempts with Maou failed. And it turns out that Maou knew all along about the Yuusha…everything has been going according to her plan. How very devious. But will she make it back in time to stop this war that’s brewing? Next week, a siege defense? Will Yuusha finally do something?

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Episode 9

That was quite the speech there, older sister. Looks like you found the will to act…you’re not just a brainless stand-in for Maou. That’s always good. It’s not like I can complain about defying the church…say you’re doing something for god and suddenly everyone’s on your side. Ridiculous.

Not sure what to make of the last part of the episode…first off, who is this person having visions of the older sister? Is he supposed to be a final boss we haven’t seen yet? That’s rather odd. Also, what’s going on with Maou at the very end…it’s like she’s preparing to sacrifice herself or something…saying the she caused to world to be torn apart. Surely Yuusha will be there to stop her…

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Episode 8

A crazy plan, Yuusha…I’m surprised you would suggest something like that. What if you didn’t account for something and she really is captured? That’s actually what I’m waiting for…his plan to hit a snag somehow. That should stall the two months that Maou is gone quite nicely. I wonder if he’ll even rope the merchant along in the plan.

If Maou has been labeled a heretic as part of some plan…I wonder if this is where the doubt starts. So far no one has cared that she’s a demon (the merchant is thrown into the loop)…that can only last so long. Still, I feel like the show’s too far along for that to matter. Oh well, next time the plan goes into action. Sacrifice the maid!

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Episode 7

Sounds like some serious evil laughter at the end…what kind of plans do they have in store for us? And so Yuusha and Maou were split once again…this time because apparently the Demon King needs to be licensed by a governing entity. The real question we must ask ourselves…does she have a card that’s laminated? O.o

So…a ring that allows the wearer to change their appearance. She tried to make it sound minor this week, but I can’t help getting the feeling that’s going to be abused. So much trickery and trolling could happen with something like that (like someone pretending to be Maou to get Yuusha’s affections *cough*). Anyway, preview with some Female Knight stuff…looks like she messed up or something.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Episode 6

Well…that seemed pretty easy. I guess it’s just the beginning of the battles, so it can’t be tough from the start. Not completely sure why Maou needs to fight against the demons in order to end war…seems kinda like the armed intervention hypocrisy to me. I guess she won’t totally wipe out the demons…temporary exceptions are fun.

Was this supposed to be an end of an arc or the beginning? Just wondering if the battle continues or they branch into something else. I guess it’s not an ending because Yuusha’s stuff in the demon world didn’t really affect things and Maou’s contributions weren’t related to the stuff she’s been doing as Crimson Scholar. Ehh…I still find this show rather bland. Just trying to make something out of the preview, which is uninformative as usual.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Episode 5

Everyone’s going off to do their own things in this show…it’s weird. Nun/Knight’s going off to command an army which I assume includes the old dude. Maou’s still got her plans and Yuusha is working in the demon world. Yuusha has the best entrances though…hiding in a box, just standing by the bedside. Teleportation magic is way too overpowered.

But man…these two are so lovey-dovey…just kiss already. Who am I kidding? I know better than that. Anyway, next week’s preview…looks like Yuusha reunites with the old dude from his party? He wasn’t wearing the armor, so I wonder what kind of circumstances those are.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Episode 4

So…that alliance with the…uhh, Alliance…was pretty easy to get. Makes me think it must have been a trap. Wasn’t that merchant supposed to be fairly low-level? I guess maybe it’s just a deal with him…as he wasn’t really representing the organization? I guess that works. He still seems suspicious nonetheless.

I don’t get what’s up with Yuusha…he’s such a coward. Is there any real reason for him to be sneaking around? Oh well, the preview makes it look like he gets found out by Maou next week. To be fair, what use is he really if he doesn’t fight? They better not try to pull some “his presence is enough for Maou” stuff…that’s just frustrating. He needs to have his own use.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Episode 3

Huh…so the one wearing the black armor in the opening is Yuusha? That’s pretty sweet. I’m surprised he just went off to the Demon World like that. Well, at least he’s doing something other than just walking around with Maou. Maybe the two are splitting up to do things their own ways…Maou tries to build the network starting with the village while Yuusha uses his charisma as a hero to gain followers/admirers. Though he doesn’t have the greatest start being tricked by the Alliance so easily.

Yeah…I wonder why…

I guess the Alliance looks to be the main source of conflict in this show? They’ve been introduced as money-hungry merchants, so I imagine they’ll oppose Maou, who is trying to help the village with her “profitable” methods. Not sure what to say about the Female Knight…just standard love rivalry there as far as I can see. Next week’s preview…I don’t know what to make of it. Bad news about Yuusha or something?
