Wait…are they confirming Ai as a gravekeeper? That’s so…easy…it’s almost hard to believe. I mean, Hampnie made that concession that she must be some sort of hybrid, but I never expected her to be validated so easily. We had a random introduction of Yuri Dmitriyevich as well…apparently, he’s out to kill the immortal Hampnie. He’s gone now, but I suppose he’ll have a recurring role based on how he appears in the ending.
I’m not exactly sure what the trajectory of this show is going to be. Is Ai just going to follow Hampnie around the world as he searches for Hana? He’s so obviously evil that he has to be a good person. He made himself sound like he was a synthetic human, but his memories make him look genuine. Anyway, looks like some new enemies next week…should be fun. Aren’t gods great?
Well, this is certainly a strange world. Apparently this show takes place in a world where people become zombies upon death and can only be put down by a gravekeeper. And our main character is one, but isn’t one. She makes for some fun theory-crafting, right? On the one hand, we know nothing of her mother and her father has been shown to be fake, so she could actually be without parents. On the other hand, her mother may have been the true gravekeeper and she’s some sort of pseudo-gravekeeper because she has the magical shovel (still not clear how that works).
I guess I have to sit around and wait until they decide to explain everything…like the whole “god abandoning” thing…I’d like to know more about this god. But yeah…I was cool with the music…the opening was pretty good. The ending was alright…just wasn’t too interesting. Seemed kinda standard.
