Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Final Episode

Wait…that was the last episode? Man, I really don’t like it when they do it like this…nothing’s resolved. I guess that means there’s supposed to be a second season or something. It can’t just be the end like this…that would just suck. Oh well, it was an interesting experience, I guess.

A very back-and-forth romance if you will. Not sure if it was just me, but Natsume’s romance thing still feels a bit sudden or something. Maybe not so much that it happened without warning but more that I wasn’t expecting them to focus on her when they did. I felt like there was plenty of stuff in the main relationship with Oshima and Yamaken…but maybe that’s just me.

[HorribleSubs] Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun - 12 [720p].mkv_snapshot_15.06_[2012.12.17_15.36.11]

A more Natsume-centered episode this time. She’s way too clingy with Haru and Shizuku…wonder if that will come into play in the final episode. She finally managed to confess her feelings though…in a way. Surely that’ll distract her. Sasayan, the mastermind in the background, trying to pull all the strings…I knew there was something suspicious about him.

Wonder what’s in store for this final episode…I guess it’s just supposed to be the picnic that Shizuku promised? What all will get resolved? Is Natsume’s confession even a factor or will it be all Haru and Shizuku? Will they become an official couple or just continue on the way they have been up until now?

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Episode 11

SHE KNOWS!!!
That was kind of a dark thing to say, Shizuku…the bit about being out of sync and not knowing how to solve it. It’s probably too abrupt for her to break anything off, though (unless she friend zones Haru at the end). Yamaken gets a bit more background…I guess we learn a bit more about Haru’s past too. I still feel like there are bits of information missing, though…is it just me?

What’s up with Natsume at the end? Is she actually going to ask the guy out? That’s kinda out of nowhere, isn’t it? Totally random…Not too much time left in the series. Lots of unresolved love stories. What to do? Also, sleeping rooster is sleeping…

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Episode 10

Haru…really? Gonna go off on her just because she’s gonna be in a class with Yamaken? Is this supposed to be the complication for the final two episodes? Because her confession is pretty darn early (despite being a loop back to the first few episodes). Seriously, Haru is starting to make Yamaken into competition when he wasn’t even a threat before…Oshima isn’t even a challenge because Shizuku just doesn’t care.

Is the next episode really going to continue with Haru annoying Shizuku more about that class? Surely he would have dropped it by then. But then what’s the problem that will last for the remainder of the show? Will the competition finally make their move? Nah…couldn’t be…right?

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Episode 9

What is up with this story? These people are slowly falling in love with Shizuku and Haru…it’s kinda sad. It’s not like I see them succeeding, but they can’t really help themselves. It’s like they’re setting themselves up for failure. And like I said before, it makes them terrible competition because their feelings are too new. Even if Haru and Shizuku realize, they don’t have enough to act on it.

I’m really not sure what to make of the random Natsume scenes. If they’re trying to do something with her, I’m just not sure what it is. They seem too short to really be saying anything. Anyway, next week is a Christmas episode…stuff like Shizuku and Haru going out together…alone together in the snow?

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Episode 8

You know…if these two characters are supposed to act as competition for Haru and Shizuku, they’re not really doing a great job. Neither Shizuku nor Haru really notices them doing all that much…I guess there was a little bit of shock with Oshima, but it didn’t end up doing anything. Not really much point to have competition if they’re not a challenge, right?

Still trying to figure it out, Shizuku? Should be obvious by now…clearly you don’t watch enough anime. Tsk tsk…too much studying. I still don’t fully understand Haru and Yuzan’s business, but I figure it’ll come out eventually. I’m a bit curious about what the show builds to…obviously the two getting together, but will it be some grand gesture or will Shizuku just gradually get there?

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Episode 7

Haru noticed, right? He noticed that Shizuku wasn’t being honest, didn’t he? I suppose that was the encouragement he needed. He was able to control himself in the end…that’s a start, right? Wonder how long Shizuku is gonna keep this up…until the last few episodes, if I had to guess. I hope the woman that Haru stayed with in his childhood doesn’t become a hindrance, though it doesn’t look like anything like that will happen. No hints of trying to replace her with Shizuku or anything…I’m sure she reminds him a bit with the whole school-focus routine, but that’s usually fine.

Shy girl finally introduced herself to Haru as Oshima. Also, I’m curious about the cram school guy introduced this week…he doesn’t look it right now, but is he supposed to be the competition for Haru in the same way that Oshima seems to be competition for Shizuku? I personally dislike his character, but you never know with these things, I guess…

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Episode 6

I’m starting to get used to this scenario…when Haru starts getting feelings for Shizuku, she chooses to return to how she was originally for the sake of her grades…or is it jealousy of the new girl? Nah…couldn’t be, right? Sigh…always gotta be complicated with people switching their emotions and stuff. I’m surprised, honestly, that Shizuku could just suddenly have no problems with Haru sitting next to her while she was studying…that’s quite the turnaround.

So is it supposed to be Haru’s turn to go on the offensive now that Shizuku has returned to her cold as ice routine? Seems like a natural thing…becoming emotionless to avoid the disappointment that comes with expecting things of others because of her mother or whatever. Well, it wouldn’t be fun if it were easy, right? Don’t tell me…shy girl is going to be the one going on the offensive? No way…that’s just too much for someone like her.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Episode 5

I guess that’s the end of the Yuzan stuff? We still don’t know what happened between him and Haru…I assume it was some intense form of sibling rivalry, but there’s no confirmation yet. Oh well…he turns out to be trying to help Haru regardless (or was he really just helping himself? could be…). Shizuku mentions that Haru finally opens up a bit about his past, but we still don’t know much. I wonder how much that part will play into the show…that moment when Shizuku realized that he really does miss his home.

I don’t even know what to make of that preview…but I guess there will be some competition for Haru now that the shy girl has joined the cast. Makes sense that he would be the one that would get another admirer, since he’s the one who doesn’t understand fully how he feels about Shizuku. But wait…weren’t the two of them supposed to go on a date this week? Is that still supposed to happen?

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Episode 4

So it’s a brother after all…Yuzan acts pretty similarly to Haru, but a lot more carefree. I was actually expecting the more dark “what are you doing here?” reaction from Haru…wasn’t expecting him to just run away. But he still seems to have some resentment for his brother…an odd way to react. I mean, the normal guess would be that he blames his brother for his mean streak in middle school, but I still feel like he’d just be pissed off whenever he saw Yuzan, not this running away business. But then again, Haru’s behaviors are pretty wacky.

Wonder what was up with that one timid girl from school…they focused on a bit much. Is she supposed to be a future addition to the cast? Might be difficult after Haru scared her off. I guess his reaction to everyone’s stares was pretty normal. If they’re too scared to approach him, it’s hard for anyone to explain to him that he’s overdoing it with the force, even if he’s trying to do the right thing. And without parents or his brother to say anything…I suppose. But yeah…these two main characters and their crazy love…when are they just gonna be together already? Wouldn’t be anime if it were easy…guess they got a date next week.
