Guilty Crown Episode 10

So this week’s episode starts off with Shu screwing up an operation because he’s still haunted by what happened with Jun last week. Shu’s also having trouble going to school. Everyone’s efforts to cheer Shu up are in vain, even Inori, who Shu calls a monster in his panic.

Meanwhile, Haruka meets with Keido, asking him about his actions on the island a few episodes ago (she’s a spy!). Keido then reveals to her that Shu has the Void Genome and that he is part of the Undertakers. Gai and Inori end up starting their next operation without Shu because of his condition. However, they end up walking into Segai’s trap.

Segai activates the stone that Keido stole in the earlier episode, which causes what’s called a genetic resonance, which only seems to affect certain people, Gai included. Keido is also freed, declaring that he will finish what was started at the outbreak of the Apocalypse Virus.

So, history repeating itself blah blah. Inori recognizes what’s about to happen, but we won’t find out just yet. Shu continues to be a major annoyance. Gai’s life is threatened, and I will be annoyed if he dies so early in the show. Hare’s survivability score went up when she slapped Shu in the face. What else am I missing? Are we ever going to find out who this mystery girl is? And seriously, grow a backbone, Shu.
