Oh, so they didn’t go with a hive mind. Instead, there are some sort of messengers that transmit the information for the invaders. This brings up an interesting possibility of the ending where one of the invaders somehow survives the final battle and lies in wait to try and colonize again. Though, that may be less likely than the “let’s all be friends, aliens” ending and the “complete genocide” ending.
There sure are a lot of these E-Gene Holders roaming around. Is there going to be some sort of mini-genocide soon to make the final battle more difficult? I don’t see why they don’t just launch an offensive. Although, to be fair, it doesn’t look like there are too many combat types, so maybe that has something to do with it. Anyway, more missions next week.
Well, there’s the romantic element. I guess that had to show up eventually. Besides that, it looks like the enemy aliens might have a hive mind. Excuse me while I pretend to look surprised. Very often, seemingly mindless invading species tend to have that characteristic. It makes fighting them easier, though, since they just have to beat the queen. Also, convenient Nobunaga flashbacks are convenient.
Is Asao supposed to play a bigger role in this show? I was guessing that they would eventually return to the school setting. I mean, they’re wearing uniforms in the preview, but I don’t think those are the same. Training should theoretically be over now, right? So I guess now everything else is missions? Looks like more E-Gene Holders might be introduced next week. I guess the more intellectual figures tend to have more utilitarian abilities. Seems a little obvious, but kinda makes them feel more useless in my mind.
