Strike the Blood Episode 2: His power level is rising

So I guess the people from the end of last week’s episode were quite radically against the demons after all. I guess they’re supposed to be the first set of enemies for Kojou to face (how long will they last?). Two main organizations that keep demons in check, and this mysterious third one that doesn’t play by the rules. Is this organization supposed to be the main antagonist for the show?

They would stop the episode just as Kojou starts losing control of his powers. I guess next week we’ll get to see just how strong he really is. I’m surprised Yukina won’t just turn on him (at least it doesn’t look like she will, based on the preview). Everyone in this show has been hyping up Kojou’s power, so I’m curious to see what it’s really like.

Strike the Blood First Impressions: Vampires with nosebleeds…sounds familiar

Well, this show seems to be a normal vampire show setup. We have the Fourth Primogenitor, Akatsuki Kojou, who has somehow inherited the powers of a very powerful vampire, and the vampire hunter out to get him, Himegari Yukina. I’m guessing the first few episodes are meant to convince Kojou to join the fight, whatever it is.

The opening song sounded alright, I guess, compared to most songs I’ve heard this season. I’m not sure whether the people at the very end of the episode were some sort of shadow organization recruiting demons or trying to kill demons. Either way, they’re most likely the main antagonists for now. The direction of the show is likely to beat them and get the vampire and vampire hunter together.
