Dude…you tripped and Mitsumune already came back for you. We can’t even see the penguin thing chasing you and it would take him a couple of seconds to pull you up on your feet. This isn’t Predator…you don’t need to tell him to go on without you. Also, at least this horror show has the decency of putting a tree root on the path to make Masaki trip instead of having her trip on nothing while running away like most movies like this.
Interesting…she’s definitely trying to tell Mitsumune something, but the glory of story writing is stopping her from saying it to the audience. Is it that she can’t see anything behind them? Is she immune because she’s actually linked to whatever’s causing these hallucinations?
She says “obedient” here, which is a very odd word to use to describe your child. It makes some sense given the next few scenes, which depict the mother showing much more attention to the “unruly” Tokimune than Mitsumune, but still.
The scene as Tokimune falls switches to this POV-style, showing a view of falling back to safety and then panning out to show the penguin. Is this supposed to be the penguin’s POV? If so, why do this? It feels so random…like it’s only put here so we don’t know exactly what happens to Tokimune.
So what? Tokimune dies and his mother blames herself for killing him because she yelled at him? Tokimune and Mitsumune are twins, right? Perhaps she tries to project him on Mitsumune in her grief or something.
Uhh…that looks like a pretty steep drop. He probably broke something.
Looks correct so far.
The only thing that would make this more fun is if there was a big reveal that he’s actually Tokimune and that Mitsumune died to save him or something.
Oh, just an existential crisis? Fine then…
Hey…they figured it out! Still, he has a point. Everyone calls it a monster because they don’t want to admit that what they see is the thing they don’t want people to know.
Yeah, screw how the kid feels…he’s just an impressionable youth. We need to make sure the mother stays sane! It’s not like she’s the adult in the situation and shouldn’t be treated like the child!
Also, Masaki was walking with Mitsumune in peace for a while before reaching this tunnel…why not tell him the thing she was trying to tell him before?
Oi…people on the Internet never apologize. Be more suspicious.
Uhh…what? Seriously? You tied two pieces of wood together and think it will do anything against a ghost? You plan on throwing it at her or something?
Nanko gained a lot of points in this scene…it’s nice to have a voice of reason in the group.
They have a giant fire burning…and they splash water on Masaki? Yeah, that seems smart.
I’m guessing from the preview that she tells them next week and the preview scenes are everyone’s “we don’t believe you” reactions. Sigh…
