Sure, I’ll pretend to care about this. I mean, this explains why the driver stayed behind and it makes him much less suspicious, but still…something about this guy’s voice acting makes it really hard for me to believe he’s actually desperate to save his dead daughter…ghost…thing…

“I just saw a large version of you, so the regular-sized version is too scary!” …kyaa?

Something isn’t right here. Weren’t these guys lost? How did they make it back to the village if they turned away from the tunnel that they thought would take them back to the village? You can’t expect me to believe that they’re better navigators in a panic than they are when calm.

Oh hey…are suspicions going to turn towards Mitsumune now? Wasn’t he also against locking Jack in the prison?

I really hope this is another side effect of whatever is affecting the group because I find it highly unlikely that they’d forget the guy who keeps yelling his name at everyone. If not, then the writers are just taking an unnecessary stab at the Judgeness guy while he’s down…

I was going to propose a theory that whatever was affecting them is just causing some sort of memory loss, but it doesn’t fit because the group that left the village would have forgotten the people who didn’t leave. For example, there should have been no mention of Mitsumune. Maybe there’s a supernatural element after all…no! I must persevere with my theory!

Wait…what? “Each of us” or “all of us”? You’re making it sound like there are enough beasts out there for all of you. Either that or you’re talking about securing food, which makes the assumption that there are no vegans in this group…which I find unlikely.

Fair point, but is that really your biggest concern right now? You just all established that you heard different things when the “creature” roared. Shouldn’t that be suspicious? I’d be wondering if we were all tripping if it were me…

Also, if everyone hears different things, why did everyone agree it was a bear? Did the first person hear a bear and everyone just believed him/her?

I honestly think this whole thing would be pretty interesting if Mitsumune turned out to be the culprit. That being said, we have to follow the rule…Yottsun is the current suspect because he was the first to die and still hasn’t technically been confirmed dead. I’m not suspicious of Masaki at all…she probably will be revealed as clairvoyant or psychic or something.

Random side note: Masaki was about to say something when this thing appeared…does this count as “main character interrupts right before another character says something really important” cliche?

But yeah…that episode happened. I guess I should have seen the “psychic powers” thing coming given that Masaki suggested her clairvoyance when she first met Mitsumune. The revelation that Lion can tell when someone is going to die shouldn’t be all too surprising. Still, I really didn’t want the reason for all of the weird stuff happening to these people to be supernatural. Given that each person perceived something so specific to that person, I thought it would be much more interesting if the cause was psychotropic. But whatever…we’ll see. It could still be some Maze Runner-type scenario where the village is actually an experiment for psychic people, right?
