Winter 2015 Season Previews

???????????????????????????????

Doing it once again…show-by-show up next and summary at the bottom.

  • Absolute Duo – I read a bit of the manga for this one. Pretty standard stuff…nothing really stood out. I get an exemption from shield-related heroes because I watched the Captain America movies, right?
  • Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei Bu Love – This scares me at a very deep level.
  • Miritari – This one looks like it will be a short one, so I might watch a bit.
  • Juuou Mujin no Fafnir – Where have I seen this story before? Haven’t I already watched this?
  • Tokyo Ghoul S2 – Maybe…just…maybe. It’s possible I watch this just because I saw the first season, but I probably won’t cover it unless I don’t have enough shows.
  • Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata – Someone actually asked me to proofread the manga for this show, but I ended up refusing. I’ve been meaning to read it just to see what kind of series it is, but I never really had the chance. It looks dangerous, but I might give it a shot just to see what I missed out on proofreading?
  • Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls – pass
  • Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom) – I’ve read a lot of the manga for this one (not fully caught up, though). I think it’s pretty interesting, but it’s a lot of comedy, so I don’t think there’s a lot of content for posts.
  • Rolling Girls – I don’t really have any information about this one, so I’ll stick it in the “maybe” column.
  • Aldnoah.Zero 2 – This should be funny. I’ve seen a lot of outrage because it’s possible no one actually died, so I think it’ll be fun to see how it turns out.
  • Junketsu no Maria – Might be willing to give it a shot, but it doesn’t seem super interesting. Plus, historical shows are pretty hit-or-miss for me.
  • Seiken Tsukai no World Break – Another familiar show…probably safest to keep away.
  • Isuca – I might try this one…been doing pretty well at keeping away from the manga.
  • Kantai Collection – Is it wrong for me to be curious about this? I see pictures about this everywhere…
  • Shinmai Maou no Testament – pass
  • Yoru no Yatterman – I don’t think I’ll approach this one on my own. Someone would have to make a case for the show for me to give it a shot.
  • Koufuku Graffiti – Seems like the kind of show I should just watch, not cover.

Summary

A lot of sequels in this season, similar to last season. Unfortunately, there are a lot that I haven’t watched yet this time. Honestly, this season doesn’t look all too interesting for someone like me. Anyway, I’ll be judging a lot from first impressions this time…not many of these shows are going to make it into the “probably covered” category. Durarara S2 is another one that I didn’t mention above because I only read the manga for it, so I haven’t decided whether that’s enough for me to watch the next season. Definitely going to need a lot of help for this one.

Probably covered: Aldnoah.Zero S2

Might be covered and probably going to watch – Tokyo Ghoul S2, Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata, Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, Rolling Girls, Isuca, Kantai Collection, (Absolute Duo, Juuou Mujin no Fafnir, Seiken Tsukai no World Break) – choose one

Might watch/follow but very unlikely to cover – Junketsu no Maria, Koufuku Graffiti

Not interested – Shinmai Maou no Testament, Yoru no Yatterman

  1. “(Absolute Duo, Juuou Mujin no Fafnir, Seiken Tsukai no World Break) – all of them”

It’s nice to see you’re going to cover all three of these series…*nods approvingly*
