Well, this week was the first battle against another human infested with a parasite. It ended up being pretty easy despite the fact that the other parasite claimed Migi still had much to learn. I guess it was too distracted by the alliance offering or something? Anyway, Migi seems to be the one to be brutally honest for the time being, so I’m guessing it really meant it when it said that it just didn’t believe the other parasite’s claim that relocation was simple. But I suppose this is the beginning for trust-building between Migi and Shinichi.
So, it looks like the recurring topic will be just how much Shinichi is affected mentally by Migi’s presence. There are a couple of obvious behavioral changes this week and it becomes a question of whether his mentality is being altered directly by Migi or just by the fact that Migi is just there (more than like it’s the former). Also, Satomi’s question of whether Shinichi is the real Shinichi is incredibly suspicious…suggesting that she is either just really perceptive or knows more about these parasites than she’s letting on. Anyway, the woman at the end of the episode looks like a possible recurring antagonist, so presumably we’ll learn more about her next week.
