Senki Zesshou Symphogear Episode 9

This week’s episode starts off with Tsubasa back in action and Miku joining up with everyone. Meanwhile, Genjurou finds Chris and reveals a bit of her past: she’s the daughter of two musicians who were killed while trying to help some refugees. Genjurou reveals that he was going to be the one in charge of taking care of Chris, but she went missing. Chris is still unable to trust him, though, and runs away.

Tsubasa, Hibiki, and Miku all spend the next day together. Tsubasa starts to perform again, inviting Hibiki to a show, but the Noise appear as the show starts. Hibiki rushes to take care of them to allow Tsubasa to perform and runs into Chris, who is also fighting. After her performance, Tsubasa announces her intention to go overseas to sing.

I may have misunderstood, but Tsubasa is leaving? Should make things interesting. Did they resolve Tsubasa’s story so quickly to ship her out? Anyway, Chris has fought alongside Hibiki, so her path to joining up with everyone is about to reach its end. I’m thinking next episode should do it (especially if Tsubasa is really leaving). It was cool to see another performance like the one in the first episode and everyone just having fun too. We also find out why Genjurou is so interested in Chris. I guess we’ll know for sure next week about everything…

  1. Tsubasa was scouted back in earlier episodes to go overseas, yet she turned the offer down. It would be more like a tour that would take place after the Noise incidents were contained (if I understood the context of how it said), but she maybe leaving; unless the final boss makes an appearance. Definitely becoming interesting as it progresses, but I might be getting my hopes up for the end.
